After 3 full days and 4 nights, we left the Tobago Cays and their turquoise waters to go back North, where we were expected for various types of appointments. Starting with another visa appointment for Yalçın in Saint-Lucia (for mainland France this time!).

The wind was fluctuating quite a lot behind and in-between the Grenadine islands - we even hid behind Canouan...

... before deciding to check out Petit Nevis, the "semi-secret spot in the Caribbean" according to Navionics.

And indeed, only one other boat was anchored by this island (a rare treat in the Caribbean)... What were the odds that it belonged to an obnoxious jerk? Apparently higher than we thought. They yelled at us to go away despite us explaining we had a windlass issue and were about to move away, mismarked their anchor position to keep the room to themselves, insulted French people and got a tantrum when not understanding where we were coming from. Even Yalçın, who is usually calm-tempered and swam (peacefully) to their boat to sort out the misunderstanding, lost his temper. We ended up moving even further away and questioning ourselves about the need of people to be so obnoxious to their peers... We might have emptied our holding tank in their vicinity the next day as a form of retaliation... 😇

To shake off these bad vibes, we went on the island to explore

Welcome to the Moon!

We watched a boat motor through the channel in the chop. Looked like the stomachs would have every reason to be unhappy...

It was beautiful but wavy and howling...

... as the palm trees can attest!

We left only after taking the compulsory "one's boat shot"!

And the next day we were off to Bequia as we needed to check out in time to catch the weather window that would lead us to St-Lucia. Bye bye beautiful Petit Nevis...
